Definition of Democracy
Democracy is a political system by which people, by voting in free and fair elections, delegate their decision-making power to representatives who must produce outputs through deliberation. It is built upon constitutionally enshrined fundamental human, political, and civil rights; separation of powers; transparency and accountability that actively safeguard the system; and is developed and sustained through democratic memory and welfare frameworks.
